Back to news time!~ :D I'll have 2 news in 1 post to save post? = =
In the final of the Women’s Singles event, the number one and three seeded players will face each other. It is the duel of the reigning Olympic Champion ZHANG Yining against her predecessor WANG Nan, Olympic champion in Sydney 2000. The players played each on 25 occasions and ZHANG Yining won fifteen times.
Wang Nan Has a Chance to WinBut for the last two years, the advantage is shortly. WANG Nan won two times in 2007 and ZHANGw Yining on three times. The last opposition was in semis for the ITTF Pro Tour Qatar Open when they faced in the semis with a success 4-3 for the younger player, ZHANG Yining. The winner of this sixth final in the Olympics for table Tennis will get two Olympic Singles titles like the great DENG Yaping (CHN).

China’s Wang Nan is on the way to become the most successful Olympic table tennis player ever. The 29 year old four time gold medallist prevailed in the second semi-final match against compatriot and reigning world singles champion from 2007 Guo Yue.Guo started better and led 1-0 and 2-1; more and more the experienced Wang Nan started to control the rallies and eventually won with four games to two.
No matter if Wang wins or loses the final, she will have be the only table tennis player with five Olympic medals.Zhang Yining or the Singaporean NightmareWorld number one and reigning Olympic Champion Zhang Yining is on the way to defend her title. The 26 year old local (Zhang was born and lives in Beijing) eliminated the second Singapore player in a row. After Feng Tianwei yesterday, Zhang’s “victim” today was Li Jia Wei. Again it was a close match that the Chinese turned in her favour thanks to her serenity in close situations. With a win in the final, Zhang would have four gold medals equalising her compatriots Deng Yaping and Wang Nan.
